From my Blog:
Sometimes known simply as Kasa-Obake. Why haven’t I made a print of these yokai? They’re my favorite Tsukumogami! I think they’re both creepy and cute, and one of the first Yokai I tried investigating.
For those just following me, Tsukumogami are inanimate objects that gain sentience through the passage of time. Normally those objects are be well kept, and preserved. For instance an antique oil paper umbrella becomes a Kasa-Obake after a hundred or so years. They’re pretty much harmless. Mostly goofing about, giving unsuspecting humans a surprise STICKY, OILY, LICK and hops away in a flash.
I can’t believe I still made art even though I’m drained. OK, so it’s in a simpler style, and I don’t know why I went for a multicolored raindrop ripples. I guess I just want to explore some styles like those weird psychedelic Japanese pop art. I believe it’s called superflat?
